It has been a truly wonderful year so far for Scottish Author ⁄ Dressage Trainer Sylvia Loch. In January, she launched her 12^th DVD Sensitive Schooling Vols. 2 & 3, whilst her book "The Classical Seat" has just been completely re-written and re-published after 22 successful years.

In April, The Classical Riding Club which she founded in l995 has been made an Independent Partner of the British Horse Society a new category especially created to recognise other associations working for the benefit of the horse. Thus CRC becomes the BHS's first Independent Partner.

In the meantime, Sylvia Loch's work has not gone unnoticed overseas. She becomes the first British trainer to be honoured as Instructor of Portugal by that country's National Riding Federation. The call came through from Filipe Graciosa First Rider and Chef d'Equipe of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art in May. She celebrated Portugal's National Day at the Portuguese Embassy, London on 10^th June and this week attends a luncheon at the Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh to meet the President of Portugal, His Excellency Professor Anibal Cavaco Silva.

This event coincides with the 25^th Anniversary of the Lusitano Breed Society which takes place at Hartpury, Gloucestershire on June 27⁄28 where Sylvia as Founder of the Society, is guest of honour.
